ALBANY – It is with great sadness that the family of Gina Keith announces her passing on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the age of 79 years. Gina's life was an inspiration to all…a rare and exquisite spirit of gentleness, kindness, generosity, love, and wisdom that will be sorely missed.
Gina will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 27 years, John and her daughter, Laila Richard. Gina will also be fondly remembered by her eight grandchildren; by her sisters, Ann Cangiano, Marjorie Fraser, Gloria Bruzzese and her brother, Bruno Bruzzese and her many friends and extended family members.
A native of New York State, Gina attended Brooklyn College, graduated in 1964 with a degree in Education and taught high school French, Spanish and Italian in New Jersey, Florida and her home state, also acquiring a Masters during the course of her many years in the profession. She retired from the public schools at 55 and became a fine artist leaving behind a body of work in water colors, oils and pastels that will remind her loved ones of the beauty of her heart and soul in the years ahead.
In the course of her varied and admirable career she also earned a BA in Theology for both ministry service and missionary work which she did for twelve years. And over all the years following the attainment of that calling, Gina became in her own right a dedicated scholar of the Holy Scriptures.
Five years ago Gina became a steadfast member of Life for the Nations Church and will be sorely missed by the congregation. She was a woman of indomitable faith, courage and sterling integrity: a wonderful wife, mother, sister, friend, and teacher. She sleeps in Christ and we will see her on the Great Day.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at Life for the Nations Church, 477 Krumkill Rd., Albany, NY 12203. A funeral service will be held 10 am Friday, October 5th at the church. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, Delmar. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in memory of Gina to Community Hospice Foundation, c/o Gift Processing Center, 310 So. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208 or Life for the Nations Church.
