GLENMONT- George Hartman, 71, died Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Born in Albany he was the son of the late Harold and Dorothy Brinkman Hartman. Mr. Hartman graduated from The Milne School and Hobart College. He worked for 40 years for what is now Bank of America as Senior Vice President of Government Relations. Mr. Hartman was a 20 year member and former chairman of the Albany Memorial Hospital Board of Directors. He was a 47 year member of the Guttenburg Masonic Lodge, #737 and served as Master 1970-1971 and 1976-1977. Mr. Hartman was also a longtime member of the Cyprus Temple Shriners and a US Air Force veteran.
Husband of Patricia (Lang) Hartman; father of Dorothy (Ray) Roohan and Brink (Tami) Hartman; brother of Maria A. Hartman; grandfather of Liam and Trisha Roohan, Maggie and Andrew Hartman.
George's family wishes to express their gratitude to the staffs of the CCU and SICU units at Albany Medical Center for the care they provided.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 11am at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 107 State St. Albany.
