Frances J. Adams

DELMAR – Frances J. Adams, 89, died Tuesday, May 7, 2014 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush. Born in New York, NY she was the daughter of the Edmund and Lucia (Quattrine) Ardizone. Mrs. Adams moved to the Capital District as a small child and was a 1942 graduate of Bethlehem Central High School. She married her high school sweetheart "Yock Adams" and lived her entire life in the Capital District. Mrs. Adams was employed at Sears Robeck in Albany until her retirement in 1989. Her life's loves were family, cooking and shopping. Mrs. Adams was predeceased by her husband John Frank Adams, Sr. She is survived by her children, John (Paula) Adams, Richard (Patricia) Adams and Christine (David) Gosstola; her grandchildren Jennifer, Caryn, Bridgette, Richard, Ali, John and Nick; she was "GIGI" to her great-grandchildren Adam, Reesa and Jackson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11am in the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home Saturday prior to the service beginning at 9am. Interment will be in Holy Spirit Lutheran Cemetery, Glenmont.
