Florence M. Wright

DELMAR- Florence M. Wright, 92, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Eddy Village Green Beverwyck in Slingerlands. Born and raised in Albany she was the daughter of the late Michael and Concetta (Volognino) Luciano and wife of the late Robert E. Wright. Florence was an essential part of the family business, Robert Wright Disposal, Inc. founded by her husband in 1949, where she served as the Bookkeeper. Florence loved spending time surrounded by her family especially at the family lake house in Wells, NY. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends particularly her children and grandchildren. Florence was an active member in the Delmar Fire Dept. Auxiliary where she enjoyed cooking for department functions. She was a longtime communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Delmar. Florence is survived her sons Robert W. (Joan) Wright of Wells, NY and Gerald M. (Susan) Wright of Slingerlands; her grandchildren Robert D. (Kristy) Wright, and Lea and Abbi Wright; her great-grandchildren Lilianna, Ryder and Sophia.; and her sister Lena Kaufman. Florence was predeceased by 9 siblings. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 3 to 6pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September, 14, 2015 at 12noon in the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
