Erika H. Jerabek

Erika Held Jerabek, of Glenmont, NY, passed into eternal life surrounded by her family and Pastor on December 15, 2015. Erika (aka "Mimi") was born on April 17, 1913, in Obertshausen, Germany to Katherine (nee Hirsh) and Christian Held. Erika immigrated to New York City in 1929. In 1931 she married Emanuel H. Jerabek and in1940 they purchased a farm in Canaan, NY, where they raised their four children, Eleonore, Edith, Eric, and Elihu. Erika leaves a loving family of thirteen grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren, and many others who fondly called her "Mimi". A memorial service is planned in the Spring of 2016, at the family's convenience.
