DELMAR - Emma A. Robbins, 84, a resident of Voorheesville, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Lutheran Health Care Center.
Born in Albany on March 10, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Edwin G. and Clara (Herbage) Andrus. Mrs. Robbins was a secretary for the NYS Dept. of Labor for 37 years. Following her retirement, she worked as a receptionist with her grandsons at their business, Solutions by Design in Delmar.
Mrs. Robbins was a member of the OES, Helderberg Chapter #331 and the Beukendaal - George Hope Chapter # 271, Schenectady. She was also a member of the New Scotland Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her son, Donald E. Robbins (Kathleen) of Loudonville; a daughter, Janet E. Robbins of Delmar; two sisters, Jeannette A. Green of Voorheesville and Mary A. Hildebrandt of Maitland, FL. She is also survived by two grandsons, Donald E. Robbins, Jr. (Patricia) and Gary A. Robbins (Melissa) and four great grandchildren, Madison, J.D., Kaitlyn and Nicholas.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A funeral service will follow the calling hours on Friday at 7 pm at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
