DELMAR - Elsie Yvonne Rudolph, 92, died on Tuesday, April 3, 2012.
Born in Albany on May 9, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Elizabeth Filkins. Elsie had been a lady of strong faith and a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Delmar. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Columbiettes and L.O.T.A. She was the one who always took to heart her holiday gatherings with great food and loving hearts. Elsie had a green thumb for her plants and garden. She knew how to make things bloom.
She was the loving wife of the late Richard Rudolph, Sr. and mother of the late Richard Rudolph, Jr. She was also predeceased by seven other sisters and her brother Ellsworth who was killed in Normandy.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Rudolph and his wife Ethel of Selkirk, Michael Rudolph and his wife Patricia of Selkirk and Thomas Rudolph and his wife Christine of Elsmere; brother-in-law, Robert Taylor of Colorado Springs, CO; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am on Tuesday, April 10th at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar. There will not be any public viewing at the request of the family. Entombment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
