COHOES - Eleanor R. Moak, 98 entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes.
Born in Rome, NY and raised in Albany she was daughter of the late Raymond and Linda Mackey Pemberton. She lived in Delmar for many years and also in Greenville where she and her husband were the proprietors of Shepard Farms. Eleanor was a devoted member of the South Westerlo Congregational Church and will be missed by her many friends there.
She was an extraordinary bowler and won many tournaments. Eleanor belonged to a traveling league where she developed many friends. Eleanor continued to bowl (very well) until her early 90's.
She battled Alzheimer's for many years but did it courageously with the help of her husband Ernest.
Eleanor is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 78 years, Ernest J. Moak; her daughters, Barbara E. Moak and Linda Smith; her grandchildren, Steven (Patricia) Moak, Michael (Heidi) Moak, David Moak, Gretchen Chase, Nicholas, Gregory and Angel Smith, Jonathan (Sue) Moak and Penny Van Deusen. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and former daughter-in-law Jennie Moak Piazza.
Eleanor was predeceased by her son, Douglas H. Moak and sisters, Gladys and Thelma.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 2pm in the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave. Delmar. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 1pm. Interment will follow the service in Bethlehem Cemetery, Delmar.
