Eleanor J. Bolduc, born on December 17, 1923, in Troy, New York, passed away on August 22, 2024, at Eddy Village Green in Slingerlands, New York. A woman of remarkable talent and unwavering dedication to her family, Eleanor's legacy will be cherished by all who knew her.

Eleanor spent her early years moving to Canton, New York, at the age of eight, where her journey in life began. She graduated from Canton High School before furthering her education at Albany Business College. Following her studies, Eleanor held several secretarial positions both before and after her marriage, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to her career.

In her later years, Eleanor retired at the age of 55, allowing her to fully pursue her passion for art. She became a successful oil painting artist, mastering her craft and winning numerous awards. Her love of country often inspired her work, particularly her fondness for "plein air" painting, a testament to her deep appreciation of nature and the world around her. While Eleanor found great fulfillment in her artistic endeavors, her love for her family remained paramount, providing her with constant inspiration and joy.

Eleanor is survived by her loving sons, Stephen M. Bolduc (Carol) and Gary S. Bolduc (Kimberly). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Robert M. Bolduc (Peg), Patrick Bolduc (Erin), Matthew Bolduc (Tiffany), and Carrie Brusic (Richard), as well as eight great-grandchildren who will carry forward her memory.

Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Lomer F. Bolduc, her son, Lee E. Bolduc, and her grandson, Daniel J. Bolduc. She is also reunited with her parents, Harley M. Lawrence and Carrie Scott Lawrence, and her siblings, Walter S. Lawrence, Lowell S. Lawrence, and Bertha Lawrence Fancher.

As the family reflects on Eleanor's extraordinary life and contributions, they celebrate the indelible mark she left on all who had the privilege to know her. Eleanor J. Bolduc will be remembered not only for her artistic achievements but also for her unwavering love and devotion to her family.

A celebration of Eleanor’s life will be held on Saturday, September 21 at 11:00 am at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar.
