DELMAR - Douglas Edward DeLucco, 72, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at St. Peter's Hospital.
Doug was born in Dolgeville, NY, the son of George and Evelyn DeLucco. He graduated from Dolgeville Central High School in 1963 and Albany College of Pharmacy in 1968. He established and owned Douglas Pharmacy in Troy from 1972 until 1994. He then worked as a pharmacist at Tri Village Pharmacy in Delmar, NY and the Price Chopper Supermarket Pharmacy in Slingerlands, NY.
His was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees. He enjoyed Saratoga Track Race and OTB. He was thoroughly knowledgeable in the New York Stock Exchange and took pleasure in managing his investments. He relished time spent with family and friends at "the lake", the Great Sacandaga Lake.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Wilma Doran DeLucco, his son, Michael (Arabella), his daughter Ann and her fiancé, Dion.
Calling hours will be held at Applebee Funeral Home, Delmar from 3 to 6 pm on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. A service will follow the calling hours at 6 pm.
