DELMAR - Dorothy Anna "Dottie" Slaver, 74, of Feura Bush, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Bethlehem Commons.
Born in Albany on November 11, 1942, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Fink) Jones. Dottie will be remembered for how much she loved making soup and cooking. She loved watching birds and feeding them. Dottie enjoyed playing bingo and rummy and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be especially missed by her canine companion, Ollie.
In addition to her parents, Dottie was predeceased by her husband, Edward A. Slaver and son-in-law, Francis Miano.
She is survived by her children, Tammy Ryan (Jon), Kim Slaver Miano, Edward Slaver (Jerilyn) and David Slaver (Heather); siblings, Donna Lopez, John Jones, Michael Jones and Debbie Grant; grandchildren, Gordon Ryan, Donja Cassanova (Derek), Brittany Ryan, Frederick Lee, Jr., Shawn Lee, Ashley Slaver (Justin), Kristen Fastert (Mike), Edward Slaver, Jr. and Alana Slaver; 12 great grandchildren; several special friends; and her dog, Ollie.
The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Bethlehem Commons who showed their care and love for Dottie.
