SELKIRK – Doris Anna (Crosier) McDonald, 87, of Selkirk passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at St. Peter's Hospital.
Born August 24, 1931 to Franklin and Maude Crosier, Doris married Franklin McDonald on August 27, 1949 and spent several years traveling as a military wife, raising their eight children before Frank returned from the Navy and they settled in their hometown of Selkirk. Doris was an active member of the Jerusalem Reformed Church and community for many, many years.
Doris was predeceased by her parents; her nine siblings, Franklin, John, Henry, William, Nelson, Calvin, Lois, Mary and Joan; her husband, Franklin, Sr.; and her son, Franklin, Jr.
Doris is survived by seven children, Lois (George) Rothaupt, Maude (Pat) Dunn, Ellen (Tom) Deere, Sandra McDonald, Elmer (Laura) McDonald, Kelvin McDonald and Martin (Laurie) McDonald; her thirteen grandchildren, Pat Jr., Doris, Robby, Michelle, Chris, Nicole, Rachelle, Shannon, Ashley, Jake, Kaylee, Courtney, and Camille and many great and great great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 10 am to 1 pm at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A service will follow the visitation at 1 pm in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Jerusalem Reformed Church or a charity of one's choice
