GLENMONT – Doris Mae Aupperle, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Albany on September 13, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Edith and Herman Troutman and wife of the late Julius Paul Aupperle. Doris worked for many years as an insurance adjustor at Crawford & Co. in Albany. Following their retirement, she and her husband loved to travel together. She also enjoyed many senior community activities with her friends and spending time with her family. Doris was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She is survived by her beloved children, Karen Bylsma (Steven) of Glenmont, Linda Berry (Walter) of Delmar and Kenneth Aupperle (Heidi) of East Greenbush; a sister, Virginia VanZandt of Albany; seven grandchildren, Rebecca Magers, Sarah Samyn (Rudy), Sean Berry (Sarah), Connor Berry and Brittney, Ashley and Katelyn Aupperle; five great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, Sept. 25th at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 85 Elm Ave., Delmar. Burial will follow in Holy Spirit Lutheran Cemetery, Glenmont. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Bethlehem Senior Services, 445 Delaware Ave., Delmar, NY 12054.
