Colleen Little-Lierenz, 89, of Delmar passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025.
Born in Yorkshire, England on July 23, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Ethel (Ellis) Hill. Colleen trained as a nurse in England. She came to the United States when she was 19 years old and proudly became a US citizen shortly thereafter. She worked as a unit secretary at St. Peter’s Hospital prior to retirement. Colleen was a longtime active member of Life for the Nations Church. She enjoyed having Bible studies at her house and teaching the Normanskill Village children Sunday School. Colleen loved flowers, gardening, cooking, canning and preserving and going to garage sales. Always helping and doing things for others, she loved teaching how to cook, bake and sew.
Colleen is survived by her children, Bruce (Carolyn) Little; Kimberly Epps; Jeffrey Little; and Naomi Frank; grandchildren, Jeremy (Andrea) Little and their daughter, Sawyer; Jessica Little; Madeline (Joshua) Chastain; Byron (Abby) Frank; and Janie Frank; stepdaughter, Debbie Conley; stepson, John Lierenz; step grandchildren, Melissa (Gary) Robbins and their children, Kaitlyn and Nicholas; Ashley Ryan; Jessalyn Lierenz (Colton Cassidy); and Bethany Lierenz.
In addition to her parents, Colleen was predeceased by her husband, John W. Lierenz, Sr. and her brother, David Hill.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Life for the Nations Church, 477 Krumkill Rd., Albany, NY 12203. Visitation will precede the funeral from 10 am to 12 noon at the Church. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Delmar. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church’s Pantry Ministry.
