Christopher Michael Wood of Clifton Park, passed away at Albany Medical Center on Wednesday, December 30th, 2020 after a short illness. He was 48.
Chris was born at St Peters Hospital on May 9th, 1972, the son of Yvonne Wood and the late Phillip Wood.
Chris grew up in the Town of Bethlehem with his 2 brothers and 2 sisters. After enlisting in the Army Reserves, Chris graduated from Hudson Valley Community College before attending Siena College. Chris worked in the restaurant business at the Century House and Grandma’s Restaurant in the 90’s before moving to Applebee’s Restaurant as both a Kitchen Manager and General Manager. A skilled and artistic cook, he took pride in being able to bring people together with a meal. Chris was a longtime Yankees fan and enjoyed rooting against the Red Sox. He is known for his sharp wit and sarcasm as well as his full laugh and good nature. Chris doted over his dog Bella. He is remembered fondly and missed.
Chris is predeceased by his father Phillip R. Wood, Jr. He is survived by his mother Yvonne Wood; the love of his life, Jacqueline Connolly and her daughters Nikki and Tina; his siblings Diane (Dean) Pemberton, Brian (Dawn Myrtle) Wood, Mark (Erin) Wood, Autumn (Jimmy Loor) Wood; his nieces Peyton and Taylor Wood; his nephews David, Andrew, Alex Wood and twins Carter and Cooper Loor.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, January 7th, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, January 8th 2021 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar.
