Charles Carlton Valentine, Jr., age 72, of Delmar, passed away at home surrounded by his family on May 26, 2023, after a long illness.
Born on December 9, 1950, in Manhasset, New York, Charlie was the beloved spouse of Margaret Dallas Valentine, proud father of Chuck, Kevin, Clare, and adoring grandfather of Everett. He will be missed by his surviving siblings, large extended family, friends, and golfing buddies. Charlie was predeceased by mother, Joan, his father, Charles, and brother, Christopher.
He will be remembered for his quick wit, his love of golf, and the Yankees. The family would like to thank the Community Hospice of Albany for their wonderful caregiving and kindness.
Friends and relatives may call on Thursday, June 1 from 4 to 7 pm at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Friday, June 2 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar. In lieu of flowers please donate to Community Hospice, 310 So. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
