DELMAR – Carolyn E. Everhardt, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Lutheran Health Care Center. Carolyn was born in Schenectady, NY to Florence Cavell and Mark Manderville. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Walter E. Everhardt, brother, Mark Manderville and sisters, Gwendolyn Morrison and Ethelyn Philips. She is survived by her cherished children, Kevin (Linda) Cookingham, Lorraine (Ken) Almindo and Kelly (Craig) DeBenedictus. She was the loving grandmother of Jerald Hinkley, Corey and Nicole Cookingham, Christopher and Ashley Carboni and Amber, Jared and Cody DeBenedictus. Carolyn is also survived by sisters, Roslyn Moser and Marilyn Mead and many nieces and nephews. Carolyn retired from the NYS Dept. of Commerce. She then moved with Walter to Florida where they enjoyed 19 years of retirement. Carolyn loved bingo, trips to the casino and steak shoot. She will be missed by her family, relatives and many friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the phenomenal staff at Good Samaritan. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, October 11th from 4 to 7 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A service will follow the visitation at 7 pm at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Health Care Center, 125 Rockefeller Rd., Delmar, NY 12054.
