GLENMONT – Carolann S. Smith, 78, of Glenmont passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 at St. Peter's Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Binghamton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy and Henry Smith. Survivors include her sister, Lynda (Fred) Kingston; brothers, Douglas Smith and Wayne (Lynda) Smith; four nieces and nephews; and six great nieces and nephews. Carolann was employed at Liberty Mutual for 25 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and an avid bowler for many years with Tri-town Ladies at Del Lanes. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, Sept. 22nd from 4 to 7 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A funeral service will be held 10 am Saturday, Sept. 23rd at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Delmar-Bethlehem EMS, P.O. Box 508, Delmar, NY 12054.
