Barbara S. Goodrich

DELMAR – Barbara S. Goodrich (Hummer), age 83, left this world to be reunited with her husband, Ariel L. Goodrich on September 13, 2017 after being apart for six years. Barbara and Ariel were married for 59 years. Born October 5, 1933 in Albany NY, her parents Christian Hummer and Susan G. (Dyke) Hummer, step-mother Erva M. (Wolf) Hummer. Graduated from Albany High School in 1952. Devoted her life as a wife, mother and homemaker. Survived by: daughters, Melode (Richard) Gall, Nadine (Michael) Reilly, Susan (Jack) Moak; sons Robin (Nancy) Goodrich, Scott Goodrich, Kyle (Sandy) Goodrich; 10 grandchildren, Christian, Daniel, Heather, Chris, Lisa, Allen, Andrew, Courtney, Haley and Ben, and three great grandchildren. Rylee, Conner and Isla. Relatives and Friends are invited to call at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 85 Elm Ave., Delmar on Saturday, September 16th from 9 to 11 am. A funeral service will follow at 11 am at the Church. Interment will be at the Bethlehem Cemetery, 286 Kenwood Ave., Delmar, following the church service. Thank you to the Good Samaritan Lutheran Nursing Home for the past 6 years of care; a special thank you to St. Peter Hospital 4th floor nursing staff and the Hospice Inn at St. Peters for the compassionate care and understanding they gave to our Mom and family during her final days.
