WORCESTER, MA - Ann Brossman (Pfennighaus), 64, died peacefully at her residence at Autumn Village, Worcester, MA on Sunday, October 30, 2011. Born in Buffalo, NY on May 20, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Ann (Eldred) Brossman. Ann was a graduate of Hiram College, Hiram, OH and received her masters at SUNY Albany. She taught English in the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk School District and in Fitchburg, MA. She was an adjunct professor for 15 years at Mt. Wachusett College. Ann will be remembered for her love of literature, poetry and reading, and her wonderful sense of humor Survivors include a son, Max Pfennighaus, his wife Michelle and their son Daniel Max, of Alexandria, VA, and a son, Eli Pfennighaus of Worcester, MA; a brother, David Brossman of York, ME; and three cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, November 12th from 1 to 3 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A service will follow the visitation at 3 pm Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hiram College, Office of Development and Alumni Relations, P.O. Box 67, Hiram, OH 44234.
