Anastasia T. Gagner

DELMAR - Anastasia T. Gagner, 87, of Delmar and formerly of W. Yarmouth, MA passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012 at her home. Born in Barrowsville, MA on January 2, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Catherine (Murphy) Gagner. A 1942 graduate of Bethlehem Central High School, she had worked for the N.Y. Telephone Co. in Albany and Menands for thirty years. She had been a longtime member of the Verizon Pioneers and a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Ms. Gagner had also been an avid golfer. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Rita M. Gagner and a brother, Edward A. Gagner. She is survived by her sister, Dorothea A. Gagner of Delmar; sister-in-law, Carol A. Gagner of Delmar; a niece, Therese K. Gagner of Boston, MA and many cousins in Mass. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 4 to 6 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:00 am Wednesday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Delmar. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Taunton, MA.
