Albert John Rodriguez

SLINGERLANDS - On September 28, 2017 at the age of 52, Albert Rodriguez left us much too early. Albert was born in Manhattan, New York on June 5, 1965.  He was raised in Garnerville, New York and is a graduate from the State University of Albany, beginning his career in telecommunications.  Family is where he focused his attention.  Al was a dedicated father and husband who enjoyed coaching and cheering for his children.  Family was everything to him.  Al is predeceased by his mother, Mary Russell and sister, Jeanne Schiller. Al is lovingly remembered by his wife, Cathleen Rodriguez and his children Dylan and Madison Rodriguez.  He is also survived by his father and step-mother Al and Cheryl Rodriguez, as well as, his sisters and brother, Tricia Confrey (Chris), John Rodriguez (Maria), and Cheryl Ann Butler (Paul).  Other family members include his in- laws Carol and Paul McCarthy, brothers-in-law, Paul Schiller; and Peter Scotto , sister-in-law Laura Scotto.  He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews including  Lauren, Christopher, and Maggie Confrey: Ryan, and Jonathan Scotto, Jack and Brian Schiller, Cane, Nohla, Maisie Butler, and Alessia Rodriguez. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the Parish of Mater Christi in Albany, New York.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Applebee Funeral Home in Delmar, New York.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mental Health Association in New York State, 194 Washington Ave., Suite 415, Albany, NY 12210 (mhanys.org)
