Obituary of Helen B. Bauer

Helen B. Bauer, 91, a longtime resident of Delmar, died April 4, 2018, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Delmar, peacefully surrounded by her family. Born, February 10, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA to George and Beatrice Bluette. She is predeceased by her sister, Dorothy and her husband William Ingliss and is survived by her sister Mildred and her husband Arch Phillips. Helen grew up in Baltimore MD where she met and married her husband Kenneth S Bauer, who passed in 2014. Together they raised four children, Kathy Fairbank, Slingerlands NY, Kenneth Bauer Jr. (Debbie) Nashville TN, Gary Bauer, Delmar NY and Penny Bonanno (Robert) Glenmont NY. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Matthew (Karen) Fairbank, Adam Fairbank, Nicholas Bonanno and Theresa Bonanno. In addition four great grandchildren, Jack, Alex, Kate and Keegan, survive her. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff and friends at Kenwood Manor for their loving and supportive care in the past eight years, not only for the care of Helen but the support they provided for our entire family. Thank you also to the wonderful staff at Good Samaritan Nursing Home for their exceptional care in her last few weeks. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
