Obituary of Helen I. Mosher

DELMAR – Helen I. Mosher, 87, a longtime Delmar resident, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Born in Albany on April 14, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Katherine (Fisher) Peasley and sister of the late Betty Lou Fountain and Katherine Borger. Helen was a graduate of RCS, Class of 1949. Over the years, her graduating class continued to meet as the 49'ers and Helen enjoyed organizing their class reunions. She had also been a longtime member and officer of Delta Phi Sigma sorority. For over 25 years, Helen worked for Verstandig's Florist in Delmar. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Francis J. Mosher, III; children, Richard A. Mosher (Kathleen) and Katherine R. Bunzey (Paul), all of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Francis J. Mosher (Theresa) of Albion, NY; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff and residents at Diamond Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, for their kindness and loving care. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, October 30th from 4 to 7 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 am, Tuesday, October 31st at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Place, Delmar. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Delmar.
