Obituary of Inez Caroline Tristram

SLINGERLANDS – Inez Caroline (Horn) Tristram, 93, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Eddy Village Green at Beverwyck.

Inez was born in Sonestown, PA on Dec. 5, 1923 to Augusta and Herbert Horn.  She married Charles A. Tristram in June of 1941 in Beacon, NY.  Charles predeceased her in March of 1964.  Inez was a longtime resident of Garrison, NY, later moving to Greenville, NC to live with her daughter’s family.  She was smart, witty and talented, a strong woman who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter Debra Tristram and her spouse James Cummings of Slingerlands; grandchildren James, Jr. of Boston, Christopher of Syracuse and Jillian of Brooklyn; her younger sister, Marion Doody; and many nieces and nephews and their children.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, October 12th from 5 to 8 pm at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar.  Private interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery, Cold Spring, NY.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Albany Medical Center Foundation, Memo: Alzheimer’s Research, Mailcode 119, 43 New Scotland Ave., Albany, NY 12208.
