Obituary of Ruth Hilda Groesbeck

MUSKEGON, MICH. – Hilda Groesbeck, 90, longtime resident of Feura Bush, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016. Born in Albany on December 19, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Gordon D. and Hazel H. (Cornell) Williman. Hilda and her siblings were orphaned as children, raising themselves in Delmar. She loved nature and living in the country. Hilda was an honorary member of the Capital District Corvair Club. In addition to her parents, Hilda was predeceased by her husband, Wilbur J. Groesbeck, and siblings, Ellen E. Oldreik and Charles G. Williman. Survivors include her son, Wayne J. Groesbeck; sister, Inez Polock; grandchildren Adam J. Groesbeck and Faith Groesbeck; great grandchildren, Jake, Ashley, Addison, Felipe and Chani; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, April 7th from 4 to 7 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A funeral service will be held 10 am Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Onesquethaw Cemetery, Clarksville. Memorial contributions may be made to Onesquethaw Cemetery Assn. or Onesquethaw Reformed Church.
