Obituary of Shirley A. Wintemberg

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Shirley Ann Wintemberg, 75, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away suddenly at her residence in Florida on January 7, 2016. She was predeceased by her parents, Harrison and Gerada Ochsner and her husband, William J. Wintemberg . Shirley was born and raised in Delmar and worked at Brockley's Delmar Tavern for 17 years. In 1984 she moved to Madeira Beach, FL and managed a successful restaurant for several years. Preparing and serving delicious food to loyal customers was her greatest joy in life. Shirley enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her feline companion Elaine. Shirley is survived by her children, Daniel and Laura (William Quinn); her grandchildren, Jessica (Frank Hoban), Leah, Liam and Troy; her sister, Jeanne (Richard Lang) and her brother, Ronald Ochsner (Carol). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, January 17th from 2 to 4 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave, Delmar. A memorial service will follow at 4 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204.
