Obituary of Leroy E. Rarick

FEURA BUSH – Leroy E. "Roy" Rarick, 76, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Good Samaritan Lutheran Health Care Center surrounded by his family. Born June 17, 1939 in Albany, he was the son of the late Harry and Grace Rarick. Roy had worked for Paddock Pools, Atlantic Cement and Cobleskill Car Wash. He liked to fish and hunt, loved animals, tinkering with cars and gardening, snowmobiling and playing darts. He will be remembered as a loving dad, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle. Survivors include three children, Jeffrey Rarick (Martha), Jacqueline Hill (William) and John Rarick (Kimberly); two sisters, June Curran and Diane Saddlemire; three brothers, Harry (Bud), Arnold R. and Charles T. Rarick; eleven grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Jean Rarick, brother, Lawrence Rarick and grandson, Anthony Hill. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, Nov. 5th from 10 to 11 am at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave, Delmar. A graveside service will be held 12 noon Thursday at the Grove Cemetery, Quaker Street, NY.
