Obituary of Robert R. Morby

DELMAR – Robert R. Morby, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3rd. He was born in Albany, the son of the late William and Jenny Morby. Robert was retired from Albany International (previously Albany Felt Co.) where he worked for 41 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Elda (Bihler) and two daughters, Jacalyn (James) Slingerland and Roberta Lembo; grandchildren, Bethany Slingerland, Philip Slingerland, Santo Papa and Roberta Papa; and several great-grandchildren; siblings, James Morby, Stanley Morby and Patricia Harbeck; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Delores Luck, John Morby, Richard Morby, Lawrence Morby, Gerald Morby, Mary Blaisdell and Gloria Northrup; and a grandson, James Slingerland. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10th from 9 to 10 am with a funeral service immediately following at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
