Obituary of Dorothy G. Pipito

DELMAR- Dorothy G. Pipito, 97, died Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Glendale Home in Schenectady. Born in Cohoes she was the daughter of the late Enrique and Irma (Carboni) Ghetti. Dorothy spent many happy years with family and friends in Delmar where she resided for over 63 years. Mrs. Pipito worked for the NYS Dept. of Elections for over 20 years. She was a longtime active communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, where she spent a great deal of time volunteering on church activities. Mrs. Pipito was predeceased by her husband Armand Pipito and her daughter Nancy Pipito. She is survived by her son Dr. Salvatore L. Pipitoand his wife Gail of Naples, FL., her grandchildren Laura Ann (Louis) Rossi and Christopher Andrew Pipito, her great-grandchildren Gianna, Alicia and Nicholas Rossi. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy's family would like to thank the staffs of the Glendale Home and Community Hospice of Schenectady County for their love and support. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 10am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church Chapel, 35 Adams Place, Delmar. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the mass in the church gathering area beginning at 9:30am. Interment will follow the mass in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Church or Community Hospice of Schenectady County, 1411 Union St Schenectady, NY 12308.
