Obituary of Laverne W. Weatherwax

DELMAR- Laverne W. Weatherwax, 73, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born in Albany he was the son of the late Laverne and Laura Cline Weatherwax. Laverne was a carpenter for many years and then went to work for the NYS Dept. of Audit and Control where he retired in 2003. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and especially being a grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife Mary K. Connolly Weatherwax; his children Susan (Wes Bates) Weatherwax of Feura Bush, John (Maki) Weatherwax of Oxnard, CA and Karen (Raymond) Fitzpatrick of Clarksville; his sister Patricia Harter; his grandchildren Noah Bates, Laura and Shawn Weatherwax and Raymond, Jr. and Justin Fitzpatrick. Laverne is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Jeannette Snyder. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 12pm in the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 10am. Interment will be in Memory Garden's Cemetery, Colonie.
