Obituary of James R. Donnelly

SELKIRK – James R. “Bob” Donnelly, 83, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born in Albany on June 16, 1931, the son of the late George and Mary (Selby) Donnelly and brother of the late George Donnelly, Jr. He was employed as an Account Supervisor with the NYS Dept. of Labor retiring in 1986 after 37 years of service. Bob was a life member of the South Schodack Volunteer Fire Dept. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lois E. (Irwin) Donnelly; three children, Lynne Marie Kohm and her husband, Joseph A. Kohm, Jr.; Kathleen Ann Paparella and her husband, Anthony Paparella, and Michael James Donnelly and his wife, Lynn A. Donnelly; seven grandchildren, Jeremy M. Donnelly and his wife, Marlene Donnelly, Max Z. Donnelly, Jessica A. Paparella and her husband, Joseph Galeote, James A. Paparella, Joseph A. Kohm, III, Kathleen E. Kohm, and Jason E. Donnelly. He is also survived by a loving sister-in-law, Margie Irwin, his late brother’s wife, Pat Adams, several nieces and nephews and many loving family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, October 22nd from 3 to 5 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 pm at the funeral home.
