Obituary of Joan Vogel

FEURA BUSH - Joan E. Vogel, 82, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born in Albany on June 7, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Ivy (Webber) Bunn. Cornerstones of Joan's life were her family and her faith. For over 25 years, she was a devoted and active member of the Albany Church of Christ. As a testament to Joan's strong faith, some of her final words in passing from this life into God's Kingdom were, "I am in the best hands." Joan was predeceased by her husband, Donald V. Vogel, Sr. and twin sister, June Bowser. Survivors include her children: son, Wayne K. Seabridge and wife Tammy of Selkirk; son, Michael D. Seabridge and wife Deanna of Saratoga; son, Mark M. Vogel and wife Sue of Virginia; her only daughter, Mary I. Vogel of Glenmont; son, Donald V. Vogel, Jr. and wife Mit of Portland, ME; and son, Luke R. Vogel of Albany; brother, Richard Bunn and wife Barbara of Florida; brother in law, Garfield Bowser of Nova Scotia; grandchildren, Joshua M. Campfield, Patricia, Keith and Gwen; and great grandchildren, Jaylee, Ivy, Nathaniel and John Wesley. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A funeral service will be held 10 am Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. A Christian fellowship will follow for family and friends at 1:00 pm at the Church of Christ in Albany, 30 Russell Rd., Albany.
